The linked September Ucluelet report favours trolled anchovies or larger spoons for late mature chinook, with coho moving inshore around harbour kelp beds. Bucktail flies and cast jigs worked for those feeding coho; larger, faster presentations are the named approach. These are September observations, not confirmed October catches.
